This is a wonderful potential project rat Rod truck – runs very good!
I don’t know many details in the build as it was my step-dads truck and it really hasn’t been loved on for about 10 years or so. Has been living in a Shop for the last 20 years, he has owned the truck for over 35 years. Was his daily driver for when it was mostly a CA truck, he moved to Idaho and that’s where it was basically put in a shop for other interest.
I purchased the truck about 6 months ago and have since changed the wheels and tires to what is shown in the pictures, not in the video.
The truck starts and drives now, but is lacking a functional power steering pump and leaks some fluids- likely need to replace all the gaskets in both transmission and oil pan/valve covers on truck.
Truck sports a 350SBC that has been built into a mean stroker motor, sounds like a jet boat😂 the transmission is a TH400 that shifts smoothly. Truck has both drum brakes all around and a 9 inch rear end.
My plans were to put a Mustang II rack & pinion, disk brakes all around and reupholster the interior, which is all there. It does have it’s typically rust in the bottom of cab, but not nowhere near as bad as I’ve seen.
I have a clean Idaho title with process of getting it registered in CA. Currently on Non-op with no DMV back fees.
