This 1953 Austin Healy 100 has had the same owner for over 30 years. It was purchased from the original owner in 1988. The original owner was a contractor who sold it to the second owner who was and still is a farmer in Fresno, CA. The second owner had a large collection of British cars that he had restored completely and never drove. This was one of them. Every nut and bolt was replaced and the car had a full restoration in the late 80s. It has driven less than 10k Miles since it was restored and it was last on the road in 1991. While staying in a large barn with the rest of the collection for all those years he would fire them up & keep them clean. All the documentation of the restoration is available. The majority of parts were purchased from either Moss Motors or The Austin Healey Store in Canoga Park, CA.

CURRENT CONDITION

The vehicle is beautiful inside and out. The exterior is finished in Silver blue with a beautiful blue Leather interior. The interior of this vehicle is virtually flawless and in great condition with no signs of excessive wear. Exterior is in excellent condition. Paint is deep and glossy. Please review pictures and videos! It has the 2.7-liter inline-four paired with a three-speed manual gearbox equipped with overdrive. Mechanically the motor does fire right up and sounds very healthy. It will need some TLC as it’s been sitting for a very long time. Transmission also shifts OK, but will need some adjustments. The motor and trans was fully rebuilt in the late 80s and barely driven. It spent most of its time just being showcased. Will need to be gone through, and should be towed. The suspension is tight and the brakes are functional. The wire wheels look just like NEW. Tires as well. The car offers absolutely NO RUST ON THE BODY ANYWHERE. NO BUBBLING. The floors are also very solid. This is a CA Blue plated car. No previous accidents. No notable scratches or dents. ODOMETER 19,645

KNOWN ISSUES

This Austin Healey has been sitting for many years, it will currently fire right up but it has issues with the carburetors and possibly fuel pump. It will hold a good idle but once its driven past say 40 MPH it will cut off and won’t fire back up for a few minutes. I suspect it has floats are no good and the fuel pump isn’t allowing enough gas to go through. You are more than welcome to have the car inspected at any local mechanic for clarity. WATCH THE VIDEO OFFERED THAT WILL SHOW YOU EXACTLY WHAT THE CAR IS LIKE.
