1954 Nash Statesman Pinin Farina designer
1954 Nash Statesman Looks Great ! So many people love seeing this car when I’m driving it. Lots of photos and thumbs up! I have owned this car for about 4 years.
I’m having to sell my small collection of cars because I’m losing the lease on the 10 car garage I’ve been renting for the past 10 years.
This car along with my others has always been garage kept, in fact I’ve never had it out in the rain.It has a flat head 6 cylinder engine with 3 speed manual on the column. I have very much maintained and improved the car including having the gas tank taken out and re-lined, gas lines and carb flushed, also rebuilt the carb, new front and rear wheel cylinders, new master cylinder, got the overdrive system working again, and normal LOF.
The previous owner had the starter rebuilt just before I bought the car. This car has a very unusual way of starting. Put in neutral, turn on key, push the clutch pedal down to the floor. This engages the starter. Takes a little getting used to, but works just fine. Its a 6 volt system, so doesn’t turn over the engine as fast as a 12 volt system, but once its been started and warm, you can barely hear it idling, so quiet.
The exterior of this car is a 8 or 9. Someone did a great job with re-painting and trim work. The last couple photos show the only small areas with very minor rust on the bumper behind rear license plate, and sides of front bumperettes. No other rust anywhere. The rest of exterior is beautiful.
The interior shows a little wear, probably a 6 or 7 on the scale. I’m sure the next owner will be as pleased with this car as I’ve been.
Its a great Classic Car and hate to see it go.
