Under the hood, a 355 cubic inch V8 paired to a TH-200-R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission has been fitted, replacing the original 6-cylinder engine. The rear axle has been replaced with a Ford 9″ posi-traction unit housing 3.50 gears. Vintage air and Vintage Heat have been added as well to keep the cabin comfortable no matter the weather.
Crank over the ignition and the small block V8 spins quickly up to a smooth idle. Drop the shifter into gear and this classic rolls up to speed with ease, thanks to its potent powerplant. Mileage on the odometer reads just over 55,000, and is believed to be actual on the body, but this fresh build has just over 14,000 since completion.
