This is a beautiful 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air 4-door
Body and paint
Body is super solid- no major damage. We know it was repainted once before but current paint job is clean. Antenna is missing.
Interior- all original stock except steering wheel. Interior is in decent shape for 62 years of existence. Front bench seat is intact, back seat has wear/tear. Headliner upholstery needs attention. Door panels & weatherstrip have wear/tear. No floor upholstery. All doors open/close great!
Glass and chrome
Windshield and back glass are solid. 3 side windows have vertical crack. Chrome parts are in great condition. Bumpers, fender skirts and and all visible chrome included in sale (missing front/back Chevy emblem).
Engine
Equipped with original V8 265 engine. Last inspected in 1997. Stock valve covers, intake, breather and 2 barrel carburetor. Car has been sitting for a while but is in running shape- we tugged the fan blade back/forth. (Battery not included in sale)
Transmission
**Original transmission- numbers matching**. Factory 2-speed Power-glide automatic.
Undercarriage and trunk
Most of the undercarriage is in great shape. No visible rust or corrosion just the usual oxidation that occurs because it has never been undercoated. Original jack & alternate fuel tank included. Working key lock.
