1958 Lincoln Continental Mark III
Clean Washington state title. Eastern Washington car since new. I bought it from the estate of the previous owner who purchased it used in 1964! I have the sales document from when he purchased it in 64 as well as some other misc. service documents.
Original Engine was seized and is gone, included with car is a high performance rebuilt 430MEL engine (not installed) that I have been meaning to install but have not had the time. Rebuilder of the 430 put aggressive cams on it and went through it top to bottom. There may be some ancillary engine items you will need to source such as manifolds, alternator, distributor, starter etc. I would need to do an inventory and take a look at the rebuilt engine to confirm what is on it. Transmission is still mounted in the car.
Interior is very nice and original, only a few blemishes such as a small split near the drivers seat bolster and a small funny patch the P/O but on the upper drivers bolster.
Desirable options include auto dimming eye and power directed rear differential.
NO RUST underneath at all, which is very rare for these cars. It does have a few dings and dents. One larger one on the top of the front left fender. Paint appears mostly original besides the passenger side doors. The rear passenger door appears to have been bumped into at some point and resprayed poorly as the paint is cracking and shows issues.
The chrome work is all original and quite nice but some areas do show age. Even the lower stainless trim is in great shape.
Tires hold air but are toast. Assume it needs all the usual items from sitting, all rubber replaced and all fluids gone through etc.
Great car for someone who has some free time. I just know I’m not going to have the time to install the engine as I have two other 1960 Lincoln’s that need my time as well.
Car is complete with fender skirts and all hubcaps. Pictures are both from when I purchased it out in eastern WA and also in my garage where it is stored.
