These first generation (1959-1960) El Caminos are based on the on the existing Biscayne / Impala / Brookwood platform. They feature extensive brightwork, including the ‘eyebrow’ rear trim over the awesome ‘cateye’ taillights – exclusive to the 1959 model! The 1960 model moved to the more traditional round taillights found on early ’60 Impalas. Under the hood is Chevy’s 348CI (5.7L) V8, mated to a 3-speed manual transmission.
