1959 Chevy Apache 3100, Short bed, Step Side. Frame off
Restoration/Modification. Frame was blasted then modified to
accept a later model Chevrolet V8 Engine, Automatic
Transmission, Transfer case, and later model Z71 Close Ratio
Power Steering Box. Then the frame was shot with a Sherwin/
Williams single Stage, Semi Flat, Catalyzed Black Urethane Paint.
Factory Front and Rear Axles were also Swapped out with later
model Chevrolet Truck Axles, both of which are equipped with
factory disc brakes. 18X9 Aluminum Wheels from GM wearing
255/70/18 Light Truck Radial Tires. GM Goodwrench 350 Four
Bolt Main’s 260 Horse Power Crate Engine with Iron Heads
removed and replaced with a new set of GM Performance
Aluminum Angle Plug Heads.Topped with Chevrolet Corvette
Center Bolt Valve Covers. Stock Camshaft was pulled and
replaced with slightly Hotter Camshaft, also from GM
Performance parts. Performer 4 Barrel Edelbrock intake and
Carburetor. MSD Ignition Box, Coil, Billet Distributor, and 8.5mm
Plug Wires. Sanderson Short Style Headers; Jet coated inside
and out. One Serpentine Belt Runs the Power Steering, Hydraboost/
Hydraulic Power Brakes, Classic Air Conditioning
Compressor, Water Pump. and One Wire Alternator. Griffen Race
Aluminum Radiator with Engine Oil Cooler and Twin Electric
Fans, all held in place with hand fabricated brackets/mounts and
Stainless Steel Hardware. All Fuel Lines, Engine Oil Cooler Lines,
Transmission Cooler Lines, Power Steering Lines, and Hydraboost
Power Brake Lines are assembled using High Pressure,
High Heat Resistant, Black, AN Lines and Fittings.
GM Turbo Hydramatic 400 transmission, Electric Stand Alone
Transmission Fluid Cooler Unit. New Process 208 Transfer Case
with Two Wheel drive High Range, Four Wheel Drive High Range,
Neutral, and Four Wheel Drive Low Range. Chrome Moly Drive
Shafts. Front and Rear GM Corporate “10 Bolt” Front Axle with all
new Ball Joints, Bearings, Seals, Outer Axle Shaft U-Joints, New
3.73:1 Gears, Factory Chevy 1/2 Ton Front Disk Brakes and an
Aftermarket Steering Stabilizer.
GM Corporate “14 Bolt” Semi Float Rear Differential mounted on
New Three Quarter Ton Leaf Springs and Using New Auburn
Gear Positive Traction Carrier with 3.73:1 Gears, and Factory !/2
Ton Disc Brakes. Late Model TwentyOne Circuit, GM Truck Wiring
Harness. This Wire Harness has extra optional circuits for future
upgrades or add ons. Halogen Headlights. LED Parking/Signal,
Brake, and in Bumper Reverse Lights. All Glass and Weather strip
is New. Exterior/Interior of Truck Body has been Media Blasted, then
Refinished in a Sherwin Williams Catalyzed Enamel GM “Victory
Red” and GM “Summit White”. Interior Trim Color is a Coarse
Sparkling Flake, Base clear coat.
Underside of Cab, inner fenders, underside of bed-steps,
underside of rear fenders, and bed walls have been Media
Blasted, Primed, and treated with Duraliner Bed-liner. Floor of
Bed is Five Quarter Rough Sawn Oak treated with Ebony Stain,
then two coats of heavy duty Urethane Clear. All held in place with
Stainless Steel Hardware. Front and Rear Bumpers have been
modified/smoothed. Rear bumper notched for Exhaust Tip Exit.
Tilt Steering Wheel Column is from Ididit, Classic Auto Air
Conditioning and Heat. Intermittent Windshield Wipers/Washers.
Custom Built Leather Bench Seat flips forward for under seat
storage. Late model style Carpet and Headliner.
