Original 1950 Chevrolet 3/4 ton truck with original paint, very rust free truck, floors solid, doors, running boards have spot holes size of a dime, very few dents truck has all its original panels, tailgate, tailgate chains are original. Original cats eyes glass reflectors on sides and rear.
all mechanical work has been done everything you can think of has been done. Interior I restored back to original condition. Horn works.
engine,transmission. Rebuilt. rear was 5.13 now it’s 4.10 just changed out the center section out of a 1970 3/4 ton Chevrolet they used the same center from 1948 to 1972 ( this is almost impossible to find now days) a 4.10 out of a newer 3/4 ton I was Fortunate to find one. just pull the axles out bolt new center section in reinstalled axles. and then will drive down the road at 65 mph,
closed drive shaft and on 3/4 ton trucks has a second section that is a drive shaft with 2- U-joints both new.
Carburetor, intake, exhaust manifold rebuilt,
Engine is a 235 complete rebuild with Hydraulic lifters (see pictures ) block, crank.010”, pistons.040”
New original cloth wiring harness for 1950 trucks,all glass, rubbers window trim channels new, breaks, break lines, wheel cylinders, shoes front & rear (hard to get 3/4 ton rear shoes but they are new.and new old stock)
rear 3/4 ton drums. Parking break rebuilt new cables, sets and holds perfectly, original west coast mirrors, original under bed spair tire carrier with J- bolt, new original exhaust system,tires radials new rims not the killer split rims. new 8 lug GM rims, clutch,flywheel,new king pins, ball joints,gas tank new,all gauges work correctly,74k mikes are original, vacuum wipers work perfect and I rebuilt that, cigarette lighter works, deluxe heater rebuilt and works perfectly has defrost pull, all window regulator are NOS GM, doors & both vents shut perfect, seat and door panels are real Buffalo hide leather,
wood bed replaced with original oak/ steal strips, bolts and let weather to match the trucks pantina.
This is one of the best trucks I’ve done and I’ve restored many to AACA trophy winning show room condition but this one was left with its original panitna.
It is 6 volt, will start up any day hot or cold weather,
You won’t find a better original truck and it drives like a dream down the road straight no noises rattles very solid Sterring rebuilt & breaking. Shifting is very smooth as Iv rebuilt the transmission with a complete bearing kit.
Speedometer is dead on as Iv added a speedometer adapter to the transmission. And checked with a satellite app.
Iv probably not listed everything that has been done but you can drive this truck anytime anyplace it’s ready to go with peace of mind that all mechanical work is done.
