Light Blue/white 1955 Plymouth Gasser 354 CID HEMI V8 727 Torque Flite 3 Speed
Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa is proud to offer this unique 1955 Plymouth Plaza Gasser.
The current owner of this car claims that before it was turned into the gasser it is now, the car was a survivor barn find with about 40k miles on its odometer.
Now this car is a beast that is powered by a 354 CID HEMI V8 that was βpro-built” .20 over with a mild cam, 2×4 Edelbrock carburetors, an aluminum radiator, Chrome valve covers, MSD ignition system, electric exhaust cutouts, and some braided lines. This engine rebuild is claimed to have about 4k miles since being completed. Pushing this power to the ground is a 727 Torque Flite 3-speed automatic transmission with a Hughes 2500 stall converter and a Mopar 8 ΒΎ Roadrunner rear end.
This car is sitting on a straight axle front end with power brakes (disc in the front and 11-inch rear brakes) and has rack and pinion steering. The owner claims that the car has the original blue paint with a repaint done to the white roof. The curb appeal is finished off with 15″ chrome American Racing wheels in the front, blue steel wheels in the rear, side exhaust, Plymouth decals, and window racing decals to assist with the classic gasser look. The interior flows well with the paint and sports cloth/vinyl two toned blue seats.
