1957 Ford Thunderbird Convertible. Complete 2 ½ year frame-off restoration completed in 2013. Not many cars that are for sale that look good are as good in person as they look but this unit is.
We would say it would meet a Barrett Jackson status quality. Each and every nut and bolt was removed and replaced. Car has all new chrome. Stainless steel has either been replaced or polished to original condition. 5 coats of single-stage paint and 5 coats of clear.
Over $120,000 invested in the car. Locally built by a very picky owner. We do have receipts and lots of pictures. Kept in humidity-controlled garage; never driven on interstate or in rain. This is an all-numbers matching car. 312 V8 motor, 4-barrel carburetor, 12-volt electrical system with original generator, 2-speed automatic, Hard-top with port holes and dark blue convertible top, Nine-bolt rear, AM/FM and power steering. This unit does not have air conditioning.
Spoked rims are currently on the car, which were an option in 1957 but were not original to this car. Original wheels and hubcaps come with the car. The only thing we can mark negative on this car is the fuel guage is glitchy. There is a new sender, guage, tank etc. but does not register 100% right. Full disclosure to the best of our ability on this car you will be hard pressed to find one nicer and more complete.
